Yes. India's success rate for total knee replacement exceeds 95%, with the vast majority of patients experiencing significant pain relief and restored mobility. At Medinity, our results are backed by 2,000+ successful joint replacements under Dr. R.P. Singh's leadership.
Most patients can walk with support within 24–48 hours. Return to daily activities typically takes 6–12 weeks. Full recovery and return to light sports can take 3–6 months. Implants are designed to last 15–20 years.
Joint replacement is recommended when pain is severe and consistent (even at rest), when X-rays show significant joint damage, and when conservative treatments (medication, physio, injections) no longer provide relief. A clinical evaluation by our specialist will determine whether surgery is right for you.
Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive ('keyhole') joint surgery. A tiny camera is inserted through a small incision to diagnose and treat joint problems. It is safe, commonly performed, and associated with less pain, smaller scars, and faster recovery compared to open surgery.
Repair reattaches the original torn ligament (only suitable in rare cases). Reconstruction replaces the ligament entirely with a graft, either from the patient's own tissue or a donor. Reconstruction is the standard and most effective approach, with over 90% of patients returning to their pre-injury activity level.
Yes. Most cases of frozen shoulder respond well to physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory medication, and corticosteroid injections. If these don't work after 6–12 months, arthroscopic capsular release is a highly effective minimally invasive surgical option.
After 2 or more dislocations, the risk of recurrence becomes very high (especially in young active patients). Arthroscopic Bankart repair is recommended to reconstruct the torn labrum and prevent future dislocations. Waiting increases the risk of bone loss and more complex damage.
It can be. A partial tear may heal with physiotherapy; a complete tear usually requires arthroscopic repair to restore full shoulder strength and function. Early treatment leads to significantly better outcomes, so don't ignore persistent shoulder pain or weakness.
Delayed fracture treatment can lead to malunion (bones healing in the wrong position), non-union (bones failing to heal), joint stiffness, and long-term disability. Any suspected fracture should be evaluated and immobilised promptly, and our emergency team is available 24/7.
Yes. Medinity's physiotherapy department is integrated with our orthopaedics team. We provide structured pre-operative conditioning ('prehab') and post-operative rehabilitation, including both in-hospital sessions and a personalised home exercise programme.
